How to Use
Planners are most effective when used in conjunction with a training meeting (team meeting) for a residence hall, fraternity meeting, athletic team or group of students from a university club. There are articles included in the planner covering areas of life such as financial (debt, credit cards), physical (eating disorders, nutrition, working out), intellectual (study skills, time management), spiritual (Gospel, John, personal stories), and relational (making friends, sex and love, dates, cheap dates).
Since there are so many articles in the front of the planner you can easily set up a program within an area on campus and speak on the area you are comfortable with. Time management seminars are a high need for freshmen and a great way to offer the planners in follow up for students that would like to meet to have a personal coaching appointment in scheduling their lives according to their priorities.
The first weeks of campus, students are looking for anything free. Handing out free planners in exchange for a spiritual interest survey has proved to be the most common means of distributing the planners. We highly encourage not giving out planners without acquiring a means of communicating with students through a comment card.
Some campuses have sorority houses buy the planners and the staff provide the training in time management for new members.
